(A return to my very first photographic film roll, shot at the beginning of my practice. Revisiting these images seven years later became a reflection on time, authorship, and the transformation of the self through sustained artistic practice.
Working with unsequenced images folded into a tabloid format, the zine embraces chance as a compositional method. The encounters between photos are left unresolved and unpredictable, allowing meaning to emerge through juxtaposition. This process mirrors the act of revisiting the archive itself: the images remain unchanged, while the gaze that meets them is altered by time, and lived experience.
The excercise understands photography as praxis - an embodied, intuitive act that precedes explanation. Meaning is not fixed at the moment of creation but develops through return, repetition, and re-reading. In this sense, the zine functions both as a material object and as a temporal gesture: a folding of past and present into a single, unstable form.)
