HAGNE studio by Frida Vasas
Frida is a self-taught Hungarian film photographer whose practice began on the volcanic island of Stromboli, where a gradual process revealed photography as both an artistic language and a form of attentive presence. Encountering the island’s raw geology and spiritual quiet, she recognized in its terrain a mirror for the inner world, and photography became a way of translating that encounter into visual form.
Her work explores the complexities of human experience through an intimate dialogue between inner states and the environments that shape them. She is drawn to places where landscape and lived experience become intertwined; where memory, emotion, and cultural inheritance accumulate and become part of our sense of self. Working through fragility, presence, and transformation, she observes the ways people are shaped by the places they inhabit, the experiences they carry, and the relationships between their inner and outer worlds.
