HAGNE studio by Frida Vasas
Frida is a self-taught Hungarian photographer, whose passion for the medium was sparked by an unexpected journey to the volcanic island of Stromboli. The island's natural beauty and spiritual resonance awakened her creative impulse, leading her to recognize the poetic nature of her surroundings and fully embrace photography as a form of self-expression and art.
Her photographic practice is a journey into the complexities of the human experience, with a profound focus on exploring our inner dimensions. Rooted in the belief that place and space can influence our sense of self, her work examines how natural environments, cultural traditions, and inherited dynamics leave their imprint on our personality and contemporary life. Through her lens, the volcanic island — pulsing with raw, transformative energy — becomes a powerful metaphor for both personal and collective histories, as well as the ever-evolving nature of identity.
